I love harmonious interiors that are enlivened by art, as well as furniture and lighting that have a sculptural element. Great houses are the product of a collaborative relationship between designer and client. It is my role to advise and edit, so the client enjoys the benefit of working with a professional that can simplify and co-ordinate all the elements that go towards making a successful interior. It is important that design functions practically and aesthetically, to make spaces you love to live in.

Freya Salter established her design business in 2006. Based in Sydney, Australia her company specialises in residential interiors. She has been featured in Vogue Living, Belle Magazine, House and Garden and The Financial Review. Her work has appeared in the first edition of Beautiful Australian Homes and has been included in the Conde Nast Hottest 100. She co–founded her first business, Astro Furniture and Interior Design in 1997 and her current practice has evolved from those beginnings. Freya prefers a consultative approach to design, creating customised, elegant spaces that are a response to a client’s needs.
