Rose Bay House

The owner loved LA mid century modern houses and Molnar Freeman Architects created a sleek, white modernist cube house that met the brief exactly. I wanted to introduce warmth and colour to the house, selecting wood & natural stone in the fittings and furnishings. Art played a key role in lending the house individual character. The spectacular metal sculpture by Michael Baird, creates a fluid flourish against the simplicity of concrete walls. Sculptural furniture & light fittings such as the Twiggy lamp by Foscarini & the Kenneth Cobonpue chairs were chosen to enhance the pared back interiors and lend the spaces an organic, curved element.
